Pivot!!

Since my last post about my “Pivot Year,” I’ve continued to find strength and direction from Brianna Wiest’s daily meditations. Each page serves as a positive and encouraging dose of medicinal fuel, driving me to continue on my pivot. As I dive into numerous projects and collaborations, I’m filled with enthusiasm and drive. However, I’ve also been plagued by negative thoughts and fears.

Despite my optimism, fears about failure, financial stability, and legacy often loom large. It feels as if these fears feel are holding me back from fully embracing the opportunities before me and truly testing myself. I’m sure it’s a struggle many of us face: the balancing act between ambition and the paralyzing fear of the unknown.

I’ve decided to confront my fears head-on, inspired by the notion that understanding them might just dispel their power. Much like the “Riddikulus” spell in Harry Potter, I hope to transform my fears into something less daunting.

Here are some steps I’m taking:

1. Mindful Examination: I’m journaling and meditating on my fears to understand their origins and rationality.

2. Incremental Goals: Breaking my projects into smaller, manageable tasks to build confidence with each completed milestone.

3. Support System: Leaning on trusted friends, family, and mentors for emotional and practical support.

4. Financial Planning: Developing a strategic plan for sustainable income, balancing altruistic projects with potential revenue streams.

5. Legacy Building: Focusing on creating lasting value in my projects rather than perfection, ensuring they can continue without me.

By sharing this journey, I aim to inspire others who may be facing similar fears. Vulnerability is not a weakness; it’s a testament to our courage to grow and evolve. I encourage the confrontation of fears; break them down, and transform them into stepping stones toward your goals.
