We live in an era of relentless technological advancement, and while it’s exhilarating, it also brings with it deep uncertainty.
Technology Can Take You Far, But It Can’t Be the Only Guide

As humanity has evolved its navigational technology, our own senses and intuition have become more and more disengaged from the mechanics of it — from ancient human navigation, where a positioning was calculated by the stars, to the Age of Exploration, using maps and a compass, to modern-day navigation using satellite and GPS technology.
Major Tom put his faith entirely in his spaceship, but that same technology left him stranded. A reminder that: if we become too driven by tech — without engaging our human sense of purpose, compassion and intuition— we risk becoming isolated, like Major Tom, floating through space with no way back.
Are we staying connected to the human needs behind it all?
Are we aligned with our mission, or are we drifting off course?
Hold on a Second: Who’s Watching? And what is the Consequence?

As Major Tom drifts away in his trusted capsule, the world is keen to know who and what he stands for. “Whose shirt you are wearing” isn’t a question of image. It’s a question of responsibility. As leaders, innovators, and stewards of the future,
Who are we accountable to? Who is watching? And who will clean up our mess?
Our children and future generations are observing the world we create. They’re looking to see if we’re courageously following paths that are true to our values and to the wellness of the world they will inherit — or if we’re someone else’s shirt.
For me, responsibility isn’t about appearances; it’s about showing up, taking action, and responding to that which we are awake to. Now is the time to leave the capsule, to step forward as the responsible ones. The shirt we wear is our own, a reflection of the choices we make and the future we are committed to building.
Together, we can leave the capsule — we must dare.

Ground Control: Revisiting Your Mission

Major Tom’s journey evokes the feeling of drifting, detached from what matters. But here’s the truth that seems to echo in history: even when it feels like there is no hope, you’re not always powerless.
In a world increasingly shaped by technology, with technology still dominated by the voices of white men, it’s easy to overlook the holistic picture of human collaboration, spirit, and ingenuity that makes real progress possible.
Take, for example, the story of Mary Jackson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Katherine Johnson, three brilliant Black women who played critical roles in the U.S. space program during the 1960s. At a time when segregation and gender inequality were deeply ingrained in society, they broke through barriers at NASA by leveraging their mathematics and engineering expertise. The fact that they helped launch John Glenn into orbit and contributed to the success of numerous space missions demonstrates that when the fullness of human intelligence, purpose, and technology evolve together, the impossible becomes possible.
